This was really pretty and fun to play in a chill way. Big Portal 2 vibes which I like! Totally accidentally streamed the demo on the day of release lol. Thanks!

thanks for the reddit invite btw! For some reason youtube thought it was spam!

Nice little game, you should continue working on it.

Thanks ChrisKay! We were successfully crowdfunded and so we're able to continue work!

Within the next few weeks, we'll be posting an updated Demo (far more optimised, with new game content) - so keep your eyes peeled :)

Love where this is going so far!

I didn't save my footage because of the performance issues and didn't finish the demo, but I wanted to toss in my feedback so far because I do love the dialogue and the aesthetic!

1) It isn't optimized for my older PC, so there was a ton of stuttering. The only time it was smooth was when I went to check the faxophone message. It ran like butter in that area, horribly in the house, middle of the road everywhere else. Looking forward to graphics settings!

2) The demo starts too abruptly. You could have Eric waking up to see the robot hovering over him, have Eric ask what he needs, then have the robot explain about the EPINs and messages.

3) Gamepad doesn't fully work. If you try to use it without setting controller in the menu first, you can't use the right toggle stick to turn. If you use it after setting controller in the menu, it still isn't able to select options, only inventory and menu. Would be great to have auto-detect of input type.

4) The robot keeps glitching out and bouncing back and forth all over the place. It didn't cause me any problems with making umbrellas, it was just a distracting bug.

5) When I restarted the demo, I physically started at the beginning again but the tasks and dialogue didn't reset, it was still waiting for me to do the same task I was on before.

7) The umbrella mechanic works well but some jumps need to be too precise since his distance is so weak. Maybe allow him to jump a little farther or higher.

8) He makes a sound when you jump but doesn't make a sound when he gets hurt from fall damage, which is inconsistent. You have great dialogue so I'm sure he or the robot can say something witty when he falls.

I know games take a ton of time to get right and polish, so I wish you the best of luck with what you've got here! It's really good bones and I hope the kickstarter campaign is successful!

Thank you! We've given all your feedback to the dev team πŸ‘

This game is really great, i love the art style, ambient music and the quirky back and fourth with L-P1N and Edric. This game is really unique and the touch of steampunk is really cool like its the beginning of an age for technology and experimentation and a cure for the "Great Rot" you feel as if your groundbreaking something really special in the game.

Some of the downsides i experienced were that the jump seems a bit short in height or one minute you leap and the next barely hop, also L-P1N got stuck a few times and wouldnt go where commanded it did make some obstacles a little harder than they needed to be.

I cant wait to see more.

Thank you so much for playing and for your feedback. We'll definitely investigate the L-P1N issue and start discussing player intent.

Really glad you had a great time. We're offering an exclusive Kickstarter extended demo if that's something you'd be interest in 😊

ok so a few sugestions:

- first of all the trailer was really well made and the game looks perfect sound effects also, but the voice explaining the game does somewhat break the experience, if you could i would reccomend improving it a bit, since (to me at least) it kinda sticks out and breaks the trailer, perhaps have it a bit lower? not sure yet (edit: add some echo)

-second: just my opinion but i think adding a bit of hype near the end (increasing over time could be even better) could make it a lot better and leave a stronger impact (just my opinion tough)

-third: just came back after downloading the game and a problem i found was that the starting cutscene (i guess it was  the starting cutscene)  started before the game loaded

-fourth and last: i wasnt able to play the game, since as soon as it started it crashed, most likely due to my pc being really bad, but an idea i would add to the game a way to reduce the graphics, (i dont know if this is hard or time consuming to do, if it is then no problem) since that isn't in the game (at least that i know)

i am really excited about the development of the game, gonna keep following and will add any extra suggestions.

TThank you so much! We've fed all your feedback through and have made some improvements to performance. Hope it works for you now 😊

Hello!, just came back, thanks a lot for the help,

i was able to play the game (despite a bit of lag, again my pc bad)

and i ran into some problems, first of all, mr helping robot keep teleporting all over the place, (likely due to my poor pc)

but the biggest problem i found was that i wasnt able to do the platforming section, (the tutorial that teaches how to use the robot)

After i aimed and sent him, he kept phasing through the platform and i wasnt able to pass through, (so i only played the start), i hope this can be fixed since i was so excited when i saw that i could play,

hoping for an update!

Played this on my channel today and had fun. This game seems to have potential and I'd love to see it continue, so good luck with your campaign devs! As for feedback: I'd love it if you'd remove the space check on whether or not L-pin had space to expand and instead let him accidentally fling Edric across a room. Seems like a cheap way to add lots of extra humor as well as a potentially useful mechanic to the game.

This was a super neat experience! It was fun to hop around and explore the environments and do some neat platforming puzzles. The two characters seem pretty interesting and have some funny lines as well. I enjoy the format of the demo as well since you actually have a goal to pursue, rather than just being dropped in a sandbox. I quite like the mechanic of making a platform to get across obstacles, it opens up some avenues for cool puzzle solving! I did have some issues with settings seeming to not save when I exited the options at some points, but that's to be expected in an early demo. Definitely excited to see more of this, props to the developers.

Hello there.
I have played your game and made even a Video about it. Sadly kinda bad quality cause my PC is not really that good. I would appreciate some graphics settings. So that people also with less strong PC's like mine gain a better experience from your game. Yet I have to say still, this game is beautiful. I enjoyed myself very well with it. Mostly cause of the jumping. I have no idea why that was funny to me. Also I have to say that the game has a certain charm. Though the music at the end is kinda... let's say underwhelming. Anyway, if your curious for my video then please have a look here.

Thank you so much! We loved watching your Let's Play. Would you mine sharing your tech specs with us so we can work more on optimisation?

Sure no problem. My current specs are as followed:

Radeon RX 460  4GB

i5-4460 CPU  Quad Core 3.20GHz

8GB RAM

If I missed something then just tell me. Not everyday I am asked for my specs.

Also glad you enjoyed my video.

Looks really good so far. The music could be a bit more hypey but that's just my opinion.

Thank you so much! Yes, we agree and aim to dedicate more time to the music. 😊

A lot of folks share the view about the ending so we're updating it. πŸ‘

i tried the demo, it seems a bit too demanding.. u need to set up resolutions like low graphics medium and high. (especially for textures)
i have like an i3 and a 1050ti(4gb) 8gb ram, and if u implement well i should be able to handle this game and play it very smoothly
as u can see in the first part it even went smooth...i guess some rendering issue...
it's probably demanding in CPU
it also crashed for no particular reason..

Thank you so much for your feedback. Setting up the correct resolution for hardware is at the top of our priority list. We'll be sure to let you know once this issue has been fixed.

Thank you 😊 We'd love your feedback if you get the chance to play the demo.

Sure I play on Linux so if you need a tester I am more than happy to help out.

(+1)

Shit I forgot to say that: I use Arch BTW! You need to keep the meme alive ya know.

(+1)

OK so I played the game for a couple of minutes and One: it runs  on WINE so Linux people can enjoy it. Two: It is nice I only played it for a few minutes and I can see myself doing a marathon of this game but, it would be nice if you looked into tweaking the game a bit so the frame rate is less choppy as that hurt the experience a bit I will try it on windows to see if this is a WINE issue or the game in general issue.

Thank you very much! We really appreciate your time and effort collecting this feedback.

Very well put together. Great graphics, Great atmosphere. I did a gameokay video but got stuck at the end as I was trying to be clever by getting into a nook near the end of the video. Needless to say, I'm going to play this again as I want to get to the ene and I'm looking forward to a full release.

Good Luck
